I have an HP Laserjet III which is printing an entire page of output
inone line at the topof the page. The self test page prints
normnally.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Also, is there a good web site for LJ
III information and trouble shootng?

Thanks

Jack,

Check that the printer cable is tightly connected at both ends. Download and
reinstall the LJ III printer driver from the HP web site. If the test page
looks OK, the problem lies in the delivery of the data stream from computer to
printer... Ben Myers

Try printing from a dos box if it's available in Your (un mentioned) OS.

Or maybe try copying a simple text file to the printer.

If that does not help, tell all about the OS, what printer driver You've
loaded, has the printer ever worked, what happened just before it
stopped working etc.
