Greetings, oh gurus - a question on this DAT tape drive hooked up to my
scsi card in an AMD-200 WindowsME box. WinMe sees it, but claims it has
no driver, and can't find an *.inf file for it. I have the HP tapetools
dowloaded from HP, and that program claims that the tape drive works
fine (it even updated the EEPROM in the tape machine). So how do I get
WinMe to accept this drive (banish the yellow question mark in the
system device list) and use it for backups, etc.?

Ah Ha! I found it, and being tacky, post my own followup for info - you
have to install msbackup from the winme CD (add ons). then it finds and
recognizes the tape drive.

sorry to pester, but perhaps others now will be able to know.
