I bought the 2510 a week ago and it was very easy to setup with a
wireless router and everything works great except i am unable to
transfer images from the card readers to the designated folder on my
PC. I get a message saying that the printer isn't connected when it
is. I have tried to do this wirelessly and wired with no success. I
was told that I should at least be able to do wired but I can't. I
was also told that it may be a driver issue but the drivers that are
on the installation cd do not seem to be executable.

I have the same problem with the memory card and get the same message.
It makes no sense since I have no problem printing.

I spent 2 hours with 3 HP technicians in their live chat support and
still no help. The last thing they wanted me to do was to remove the
sorftware, disable my firewalls in the router and computer and
re-install the software. I have not done that yet and don't think I
will. You might want to try the chat to see if it helps you.

I also have a problem printing when I turn off the printer and the
cable modem at night and restart them in the morining I can not
print. I have to re-install the software to print. Do you have the
same problem.

I have the same issue. HP Support is so far not helpful. The Live
Chat support told me that the device is defective and I should return
it. I'm doubtful.

In a situation like this, it is well worth looking at the setup for any
firewall, hardware or software, in a small network. Sometimes the firewall gets
in the way.

Second thing to consider is to assign a fixed IP address to whatever device you
are using as a wireless network controller for the printer. In most network
setups, a fixed IP address works much better than a dynamic IP assigned from a
DHCP server... Ben Myers
