No error messages, just shuts down. Any ideas on the problem?

If it just pops off, try booting up in Safe Mode (hit F8 early in boot sequence).
Remove the Display Adapter using the Device Manager, reboot normally to
let it reinstall. Or maybe the power supply is bad.

If it shuts down gracefully, then there's a configuration problem of some sort.
If you can run msconfig, disable services at startup to help narrow it down.
Run a good virus program in Safe Mode to rule that out. Maybe try booting
off a Win98 or Linux boot floppy to see if the hardware is good. If it is, just
reinstall the system as a last resort.
