I use winfax 8.0 to "scan and send". When I try to send a scanned text
document I get a message " Check the Resolution setting of your scanner.
Winfax only supports 200 dpi resolution. Please set the scanner to 200 dpi
and try again"
I then go to the psc 700 director and select "scan settings" I change the
resolution on photo, text as image, and mixed image, all to 200 dpi; pixel
depth is 1-bit black.white.

I still get the same message on winfax 8.0.

When I go into winfax "scan and send" there is a link "adjust the quality of
the scanned picture". When I open the link it has the psc 750 on the blue
title and a box with a brightness scale and a box with resolution. I change
the resolution in this box to 200 dpi and the scan works.

Why did it not work when I change the resolution in the scan setting on the
HP director?

thank you, Ken
