Has anyone had any experience with this model? If so, what are the
pro & cons. We are considering a purchase...and this one looks good.
Thanks, Carole

Well with those specs it looks good. But did you check out the dell
site?

Dell has some good deals that may meet your needs,
http://www.dell.com/tv nice unit for $499 with a $100 rebate.
But the HP looks pretty loaded but did not see what the price was.

Documentation I have found on the internet says 865G chipset is used
on the motherboard.
Calling HP parts the tech said it has and 865PE.

Despite the fact that, these chipsets support Dual Channel memory,
the board will not support Dual Channel.

HP manufactured the motherboard with, only two memory sockets.
These sockets are both connected to same channel so,
no Dual Channel memory configuration is possible.

When I filled the extra memory socket the motherboard drops the memory
speed to 320Mhz from 400Mhz.
This happens with CL 2 and CL 2.5 memory.

Go to www.intel.com and download the chipset identifier applet.
