View Full Version : Start up problem
Two months ago I reformatted my Pavilion 523n 80 Gig drive. I went over to a
retail Windows XP Home from the HP instillation disks. Everything worked
fine until today. There was no trouble with the sound, audio or anything
else. Today I had to use the Microsoft disc to boot up. After running chkdsk
/r I found that there is a problem with a small sector of the hard drive. I
have overcome this, but when I try to boot up computer freezes at the HP
Invent screen until I hit escape. After hitting escape the windows XP home
screen comes up, and everything runs fine. How do I disable the Hp Invent
screen so that I go straight into the Windows screen?
