View Full Version : scanner for cut film negatives?

I've been looking for a relatively inexpensive way to scan some
cut film (box camera) b/w negatives from way back.
I see that the current hp scanner products include models with
features for scanning negatives - but they're rather vague about what
size of negatives can be scanned. There seems to be some implication
that they can only be used for strips of 35mm film or mounted 35mm
slides - is this true? How would I recognise a model that can do what
I want - (or should I be looking at a different vendor?)
This is only for personal/family purposes - I'm not looking for a
professional model costing many hundreds of GBP.
thanks for any advice
