is there anyway to get quicken 2005 to download transactions without always
asking me for my vault p/w? I am the only person with access to this
computer and I find it cumbersome.

I don't know of a way to bypass the PIN vault entirely, but you can set up
Scheduled Updates. (Online->Schedule Updates) and tell it to prompt for
your PIN vault PIN when Windows starts up as opposed to when the update
runs.

Of course if you shutdown Windows every day this won't provide much
benefit.
