Hello,

As to failure to boot, if you are not using a serial EEPROM for
initialization, make sure that LHOLD input is low. Default values
request Expansion ROM space, and therefore the PCI 9052 will require
Local bus ownership for the BIOS access to determine whether a valid
ROM image exists. The Local clock (LCLK) must be active in order to
access the Local bus.

As to the resource conflict, if you are using a serial EEPROM, perhaps
your Range registers (LASxRR) values are incorrect. Each Range value
must be the two's complement of the address space size, which must be
a power of 2. For example, the value for a 256 byte space is
xFFFFF00h (x is Don't Care). Any Space mapped as I/O must not exceed
256 bytes in size, to comply with the PCI Specification.

If you use a serial EEPROM, the PCI 9052 EEDI output requires an
external pull-up. The TEST pin should either have an external
pull-down or be tied directly to ground.
