In Quicken 2002 when I closed out program got message
"QSD Write Error 003"
Before that I was not able to back up. When I selected backup from the menu
and clicked nothing happened.
I recently backed up to a flash drive, that worked the one time, this was
the second time I tried it, don't see how that could be the problem, but...
Please help

Read this:

I back up to a flash in Q2004 and now Q2005 without problems. But that
may have been the problem from reading the support answer.

Thanks for the response. I tried that but my problem persists. My file is
now located on the F drive (the flash drive). When I try to open any other
files I can't.
Need some way to change that F to C.
Any suggestions?
I guess my biggest mistake was to try to use a flash drive in 2002.

Do you have a good backup?
When something similar happened to me in the past, I opened a new
Quicken data file and immediately cancelled out of the set up. I then
restored my backup to the new data file.

Thanks for info. I am now back in business. But am concerned about backing
up to the flash drive. Were you able to do it in 2002 version?

Is there somewhere where one can find the definition of the various Quicken
error messages? I am particularly interested in error message 7051 in Q2005
Deluxe.

You can search the Intuit support site at
http://www.intuit.com/support/quicken/index.html
but I don't think you will find that error number. Some numbers
have kb articles, some do not.

Did that. It's not there. I have an email out to Intuit support but I am
not holding my breath. It only happens when I do a certain search, so I
just won't do that <grin>.
