Looking to upgrade my Thinkpad 390 / i172x from current Pentium II 300
(66Mhz front-side bus) to 366, 400 or higher or??? CPU is a MMC-1 form
factor. I can find the CPU's on Ebay, but am not clear if the computer will
recognize slightly faster cpus. Intel made MMC-1 format cpu's up to 466mhz,
but the northbridge chip changed from 443bx to 443dx on the 433 and 466Mhz
Celerons.
Any info is appreciated.
