Hi
I installed yesterday my new K7N2G-L and I had troubles booting on my 40-go
HD (western d.)
The vendor had configured it "auto" and it never did boot properly. I went
to the bios settings of my HD and when switching from "auto" to "large" or
"lba" it worked.
The trouble is, partition magic ( V°8 ) refuses to work then, saying that my
partitions are badly configured, and that I run the risk of losing data.
1) I thought the "auto" setting would do, any clue why it doesn't work ?
2) how can I solve this problem ? did it ever happen to one of you ?

thanks

Paca

While my memory is fading (I'm very old you know) it seems to me that
there has been an issue between cadaviar drives and the MSI K7N2G-L
board. (I have several of the boards but I use Seagate drives)

You might want to check the compatability charts on the MSI website.

Best of luck,

Mark
