Im having problems with my hardware...ever since january when I
upgraded my system to P4 1GHZ...
the thing is that it fails ocationally...sometimes when I turn on the
computer I get no signal on the monitor and the system starts beeping
continously...the pattern is something like a 10 sec beep, a medium
pause and so on...
So I tried several things, everytime it happens the machine gets fixed
somehow, all I usually do is to take out some components (ati video
card, modem, ram...) I use some air spray to clean out the slots and
then put all togheter again...sometimes it works...sometimes it
doesnt...but then after a couple hours the machine starts working as
usual...
I got the same problem this morning and even when I did all the stuff
I usually do it is not working, I still get no video and the
beeps...this has only happened 3 or 4 times since jan...so I would
like to know what kind of problem it is and how could I fix it...
any help you can give me would be great, please either post here or
email me privately. thanks in advance.

What motherboard and what BIOS does it use? Search the web for the
relevant beep codes, that should tell you what the pattern means.
Plus, if your system tells you you have a P4 1Ghz, something is
seriously wrong... :PpPP
