There's even a rumour that OpenVMS might run on HP SuperDomes.

'Almost ready' seems something of an over-statement. VMS 8.0 (released a
while ago) was an early alpha test for a few third-party developers. VMS
8.1 (the current 'release') is an incomplete beta test available to a wider
range of third-party developers. And VMS 8.2 (to be released next year as
the first Itanic release meant for the general public) will still, IIRC, be
somewhat incomplete compared with existing Alpha VMS features.
