Well, Intel's tradition of finding the most embarrassingly stupid names on
the planet and naming their technology after it continues. Just when you
thought that they couldn't get much stupider than Yamhill or Tuckwilla,
they've outdone themselves, Clackamas Technology! Aiee!

Thought I already posted my comment that CT would be Clackamas Technology.
Getting old (65th birthday was Friday) maybe forgot.
I live within 1/4 km. of the Clackamas / Yamhill county line :-)
Seemed obvious when I first saw CT vs. YT.
Wait and watch for MT and WT ... perhaps coming soon.
Marion and Washington Counties are also adjacent to Yamhill County.
Washington County is "Intel Land", e.g. IAL is there.

You may have, but my news server is hardly reliable enough to catch
everything. Let's check Google:

You know maybe because Yamhill may have been an incompatible x86-64
technology to AMD64, therefore they renamed their compatible technology to
Clackamas, since it's almost the same just a next door.

Tukwilla is in Washington, southeast of Seattle, IIRC. I've been there.
I have a friend who lives 5 minutes from there.

Well, they're all place names from the general Pacific Northwest area,
anyway. Mendocino (remember that one?), for instance, is in Northern
California, IIRC.
