When will 1TB Hard drives come out? This Fall??? I know Seagate has 750GB drives out now... wondering if I should wait til someone comes out with 1TB drives.

Bigger drives mean more data to lose when they inevitably break, and
backing up a terabyte is not my idea of fun.
My opinion is if you want 1Tb on line then get some combination of
drives and level of RAID to get you to that capacity with some safety.

Seriously, if you need the storage now, buy the 750GB drive now and KNOW
that eventually 1TB drives will arrive. Same as back in the old days,
we all had 1-2MB 5.25" "stepper" drives and knew that those whiz-bang
3.5" voice-coil drives were due out any day now....
There's always something bigger-faster-more on the horizon. Running to
the horizon is futile; there's always an horizon and like a rainbow, you
can never catch it. It's all a matter of perspective.
