Is it possible to get a SCSI device working on an iMac G5? In
particular, I need to get the Acer ScanWit 2720S, a SCSI film scanner,
working. It comes with its own PC SCSI card, but I guess SCSI is SCSI
(I could be wrong...)

You need a FireWire to SCSI adapter, such as
<http://www.macgurus.com/productpages/scsi/FR1SX.php>
Your Acer software may not work with the adapter, but the adapter
supports VueScan
<http://www.macgurus.com/productpages/scsi/FR1SX.php>
and VueScan lists your scanner as supported, so everything should work.
