Default CVS Repository movement from Solaris to HPUX

Hi,
I have searched and found lots of messages related to CVS repository
movement.
However as on date, it will be really very helpful, if someone can
point to the best thumbrules for repository movement.

Details -
§ Old CVS server - Solaris 8 with CVS 1.10
Repository already created and code has gone through lots of
changes.
§ New CVS server - HPUX 11.11 with intended CVS install version
1.11.22
Is it enough to just tar repos from solari and untar it on HP.
What else needs to be done.

Thanks and Regards,
Amara
