Default Problem on windows 2000

I have moved my webcam from a Windows-Me system to one that runs
Windows 2000. It works fine with MSN Messenger and with a video
capture program that came with the hardware but it won't work with the
imaging utility in Win 2000 (which worked fine on Me). You just get a
blank frame - no picture.

Any ideas?

None. But what utility, maybe I can get a clue from that.
