Hi,

I am currently in the market for a new PC and the new Mac Pro config is
pretty interesting. When I spoke to an Apple dealer he mentioned the
"Bootcamp" is not yet available for "Mac Pro" but will be avialable
shortly.

I would like to hear has anyone already tried instally Windows XP using
Bootcamp on Mac Pro? Can you share your experiences?

In general will all Windows application run on Intel based Macs running
Bootcamp or are there some issues I should be aware of. e.g USB drivers
which are available only for Windows, will they work normally under
Windows on Mac platform?

I am not yet a Mac convert and I assume the *worst* case scenario where
I will be running only Windows XP...will Mac Pro be good choice?

Any feedback is appreiciated.

Boot Camp (1.1.1) is available for the Mac Pro. The Apple dealer you
spoke with was wrong. There is also a firmware update to speed up SATA
drives.

It's an Intel Dual-Core Xeon. Everything will work. Dell sells a
workstation using the same processor.

You will find that you have never seen Windows XP run as fast on any
previous machine.

Worst case I would keep a 25-50GB OS X partition at the minimum, so you
can download possible future Firmware updates and Bootcamp driver
updates. Otherwise you can spend all your time in Windows XP. But I
think you will like what you see in OS X.
