Default removing attributes from a drawing

I have a customer supplied drawing. When I try to insert it into an office
plan, I get dialog boxes asking me to supply values for various attributes.
I have tried opening the attribute manager to delete this, but get a reply
that there are no attributes in the drawing. How do I delete these
blocks/attributes

Can I offer the answer to a a question that you didn't ask?

If ATTREQ is set to zero you won't get these prompts when you insert.

Default removing attributes from a drawing

command: erase [ENTER]
select objects: (ssget "x" '((0 . "attdef"))) [ENTER]
select objects: what ever will be ... [ENTER]

.... if there are some undesirable attdefs in the drawing, the line:
.... (ssget "x" '((0 . "attdef"))) ...
.... will select all attdefs (later attributes) in the drawing ...
.... maybe ... some attdef's looks like texts ...
.... or ... maybe they have to be texts ...
.... or ... or

have fun! (not easy with autocad)
