What type of file (.avi, .mpg) and what are it's specifications that you are using as source?
Capture is from a Hitachi DZ-MV730E digital camcorder (which uses mini-DVD-RAM disks), using - because it has no PC connection facility - its TV S-Video output through a Pinnacle Dazzle "DVD Recorder" plugged into the PC's USB socket. The resulting DVD quality is nevertheless really excellent, apart from the jerkiness in the faster panning sequences (which - as described in another posting recently - no longer occurs, but I don't understand why!). I used to have the Dazzle. This is very old technology, and the mpeg
streams are completely non-standard. I found Nero will read them, but other
programs will not. I cannot advise further here, since I got rid of my
Dazzle.
