Default About Forte Compiler

Guys,

We are having a requirement to migrate a FORTE based application from
Windows NT to Windows 2003 Server. The version we are using is Forte
3.0.F.2.
Please provide information on following queries:

1) What is FORTE? Is it an IDE or Language or anything else?

2) How is Forte 3.0.F.2 developed? what do we require to install and
run
this Forte 3.0.F.2 based application on Windows.

3) Is Forte 3.0.F.2 based on Java Run Time or Is it based on C, C++ or
Fortran
based?

4) Where can we get information on Forte 3.0.F.2 compiler or IDE or
any related information?

Your inputs for this will be of great help as i am totally novice to
this area.

Thanks in advance
Maneesh

The Sun ONE Unified Development Server software provides a set of
development tools and services to enable creation, deployment, and
management of networked applications. The software is used to develop
enterprise-wide customer applications with both desktop and server
components in a multitiered, cross-platform environment. The product's
Intelligent Application Partitioning engine, which automates deployment
into multiple desktop and server machines, makes it possible for
developers to create applications that will perform in a complex
environment just as they would for a single computer.
