Default proper settings for PDF

I've been creating some one-page magazine ads in X3, converting to PDF
and them mailing or emailing them to the printer. My files have 3 or 4
different graphics. The PDF size is usually 8 to 20 megs, too large to
email. I wonder if my PDF settings can help. I have all the dpi
settings set to 350. I have "compatible with" set to acrobat 4. Any
thoughts?

Thanks,

Peter

I don't know if this would work, or is allowed, but there's a free service
called YouSendIt that people who want to share music files use. You get to
post up to 1 GB (assuming you can upload that--I do it at the library,
which has a faster connection) for 7 days, 25 downloads. I've distributed
PDFs that way to politicians I wanted to hit with a letter containing a
lot of photographs.

Use "PDF for Document Distribution" style and JPEG compression of 100.
Bitmap downsampling keep at 200 dpi because it should bi more than enough
for ads.
