Default social networking for the buildmeister

Does anyone know where there is a online community for release
engineers/build engineers?

Is this group the place or is there a wiz bang web2.0 kind of community
out there with blogs/wikis and other community building tools that
serves build engineers? I have sought such a place and have yet to
find one.

I am a release engineer engaged in various tasks around SCM, build
automation trying to create a highly productive environment for my
users. I have read the books and utilize a bevvy of tools. What I
don't know is to what degree I'm re-inventing the wheel and to what
degree I'm missing the boat. I want to use social networking to share
ideas and engage in debate over how-to or why-to.

If I cannot find one soon, I may just put up a wiki of my own and see
where it goes...

I looked long and hard for this while researching my book ("Practical
Development Environments", O'Reilly,
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/practicalde). Appendix B contains a
number of resources, including this newsgroup. Other places listed are
stickyminds.com, cmrossroads.com and the pragprog@yahoo.com list, but I
generally focus on the mailing lists and Wikis of the tools I'm using,
and RSS feeds from a wide range of blogs. Some sdexpo conferences have
lots of people in the tools business.

For the book, I collected all the build/SCM/release/bugs aspects of our
jobs under the term "toolsmith".

Count me in if you set something up :-)
