Default Saving a video session on a flash drive has been limited to 3 mintues. Why?

I have a Logitech 5000 Pro and make videos of counseling sessions.
When I save the video on my hard drive they work perfectly. However,
when I set the default location to a flash drive, I find that after
about 3 minutes the video ends. There is no indication of this in the
version 10 software, it says it is still recording for a hour. I will
call customer support about this tomorrow but wondered if there is any
particular reason this would be happening. I am using version 10 of
Logitech's software. The flash drive is 1GB.

maybe your power saving settings are set to three minutes for the hard
drive.
