Need help Please - Need to Build a Licensing Manager! Urgent
Hello Software.Licensing Group Members,
I would appreciate any help (tips, sites, books, articles, advice,...)
you can offer me regarding the following:
I'm interested in developing a license managing application of my own
for my software. My software is a Firebird based program.
It would be immensely helpful if anyone could kindly offer developers'
sites for building such an application for a Firebird based program,
online manuals, tutorials, guides, forums, or whatever resource you can
point me to.

Unless you know alot about cryptography, security and related programming
you should not start writing your own software. It's only foolish beginning
writing your own when it'll be more limited, less secure then any existing
solution. Most people don't realise that a poor license manager can actually
cripple the way you want to sell your software and your users. It's been
seen many times.
There are many solutions for many different problem. Overall if you want to
proceed you should consider going with something which uses asymetric
cryptography, offers flexibility for you to incorporate new license models
in future so you don't find yourself in a situation in 9 months that you're
unable to deliver to customer demands because of the license management.
