Default has anyone worked on WAST

Hi

Does anyone has any kinda experience with Microsoft's WAST. Its
basically a stress testing tool, but somehow i didnt find its GUI quite
user friendly.. can anyone help me with its performance and ratings
kind of stuff wch can help me in evaluating this tool. Or to be more
specific, whether is it a viable tool in terms of stress/load testing
of a website? Shall I evaluate it further or not?

Thanks

Hi,

Me too taking a look on WAST for the last few days. I won't be a good
technical person to can't comment about its applicability for stress
testing (don't know whether any one is using it seriously since not
much help found from internet) or its easiness or even its
capabilities.

You can go through this link. This web page precisely but efficiently
covers most of the functionalities, result interpretation etc.

http://www.west-wind.com/presentati...s/webstress.htm

Also, you can use the help material with the tool itself.

Bye,
Sajin Kokkad...

Hi,

I have used WAST (Web application stress tool) for load testing in my
previous company, I must say even though Microsoft is software products
giant, but they are nowhere in some areas, WAST is one of example of
that, it has complicated GUI and you can't get how to generate
scenarios until you try it several times.

though it has some advantages over other stress load testing tools for
windows based application testing. Iwould prefer not to go with WAST
I had also moved to other tool after using WAST, search for word
"Appperefect" on Google t this is one of the best tools (They called it
as Test suit, u can do all types e.g Unit, Functional, Performance
Tetsing with this tool.
this is best tool for stress and load testing varous application,
specially for web based applications, also it is freeware and somewhat
similar to loadrunner.

All the best

Regards,
Nikhil
