Tray Wizard is designed to greatly extend user's convenience while
working in Microsoft Windows products family. It provides a wide range
of abilities in a task bar system area (i.e. system tray) management.
With Tray Wizard you can:
- Launch your favourite applications from tray menu.
- Use fixed order of icons in tray.
- Remove icons that are not in use.
- Show/hide icons using predefined key combination.
- Minimize windows to tray or tray menu rather than task panel.
- Manage session/power state of your computer.
-----
Ome thing it DOESN'T have is nested folders, which might be a deal
breaker for you. In my case, the extra features in managing the
system tray more than made up for that.
1. It consumes a lot of memory for what it does (with a modest menu about
11 MB and growing).
2. If used on a slow USB flash drive, start-up can be painfully slow with
complicated menus as it loads icons for each and every entry before giving
you access to the menus.
I have discovered that Quick Launch in Windows will support categories
where you can add launch buttons. All you do is use your file manager
and go the location on your C drive where the Quich Launch folder is
located. In most cases (at least on XP), it will be at:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\*
If you can't find it, just do a search for *Quick Launch* in your
Documents and Settings folder.
All you have to do after you find it is to add a new folder and start
adding short cuts.
After you do that, a folder icon will be displayed in Quick Launch
along with the name of the folder. When you hover over the folder
icon, the short cuts in the folder will be displayed, just like
sub-categories. To my thinking, this works as well as most program
launchers.

Looking for a programme that looks, and act like Traybar. http://www.nimation.nl/traybar/
Would prefer freeware but open to suggestions.
I would like to thank everyone that offered suggestions, but as of now
I still haven't found what I want. It would appear that a look alike
Programme doesn't exist in freeware, so it seems I need to go
shareware. This leads me to the question;
What is the best "Shareware Newsgroup" for me to read and request my
wants?
